The Bertha Bowl is all gussied up and ready for firing 🌹🍃

Using rose leaves from my garden I used underglaze to transfer the details of their undersides as well as using them as a template to brush the underglaze over 🍃🖌️

My One Big Bowl from a few weeks ago survived multiple lives on the wheel, a crack in the base at bisque firing and finally emerged from glaze firing looking pretty damned good with the crack sealed by the tidiest, smoothest glaze I’ve ever managed to pour! The blush clay gave me a bit of a hard time too but its sweet blushing quality from being snuggled up to other pieces in the kiln has me all 😍 🔥🙏🏼✋🏼🤚🏼 #blushclay #handmadeceramics #madewithmyowntwohands #nzpottery #ceramicbowls
